Concept The Walkable Painting is a project that emerged as part of my diploma thesis in the Scenic Painting studies at the Dresden University of Fine Arts. In my final thesis, I explored the question of how the space of the image and the viewer's space can blend during the act of viewing. Inspired by current immersive exhibitions (e.g., "Monet's Garden" or "Van Gogh - The Immersive Experience") that allow viewers to immerse themselves in pictorial worlds, I implemented my own idea of a walkable picture. Viewers of my still life are given the opportunity to sit among fruits, flowers, and oysters on the painted plate. It is an interactive art experience that employs trompe-l'œil painting and optical illusion.
